Saffron Walden Library contains a great deal of information about Uttlesford, although the collection is strongly biased towards the north of the district.  Our bookstock is listed on the Essex  Libraries website:- http://essexlibraries.essexcc.gov.uk.  However, over the years we have also amassed a wealth of pamphlets, cuttings and leaflets which have been indexed by volunteers from the Family History Society. These can be consulted in the Town Library room.  Other items which do not appear on the library catalogue include our collection of maps of the area, including the 1921 6” series, and our photographic collection.
